The island of Kauai has two commercial harbours. Nawiliwili Harbor is Kauai's primary commercial port. It has facilities to handle both overseas and inter-island containerised cargoes and a cruise ship terminal.
Port Allen harbour is Kauai's second harbour. It handles bulk liquid cargo. Other facilities include berthing for military and excursion vessels.

Onagawa is a small multipurpose port handling breakbulk, Ro-Ro and general cargo. This port is located on the east coast of the country, 22.1 n.m. NE of Sendai and 53.5 n.m. SSW of Kamaishi.

The port of Concarneau includes the port of La Croix located to the west of La Croix Lighthouse, and an outer port and an inner port separated by the peninsula on which is Ville-Close. The Lanriec Passage connecting the inner and outer port areas is maintained at depth 3.0 m. and marked by five light towers.
The port comes under the jurisdiction of the Departement du Finistere and is essentially a fishing port. Commercial vessels need prior authorisation of the Port Authority, who will prepare a quay berth for them in advance.

Read More >The Port of Miami is taxpayer-owned and administered by the Seaport Department, a function of Metropolitan Dade County Government. Permanent facilities are leased to port users and operators. All equipment (except the gantry cranes) is owned and operated by private companies. The gantries are lease-operated under Seaport Control. Berth space is authorised by the Port Director, and scheduled by Seaport Operations. The US Coast Guard serves as Captain of the Port.

Pearl Harbor is the main naval port in the central pacific. Tankers call at the port to discharge cargo. Pearl Harbor is under the jurisdiction of the US Navy.
