As an international trade seaport in NE Florida. JAXPORT (Port Authority facilities) has multiple cargo terminals capable of handling containers, automobiles, bulk, breakbulk and refrigerated cargoes, as well as cruise and local ferry service. Numerous private terminals handle dry and liquid bulk cargoes.

Hambantota is a new port which is being developed in several stages with a view to handling most types of cargo, and becoming a regional hub port.

Libreville is the capital of Gabon. Main commercial area is Owendo, 8.0 n.m. upriver from Libreville.

Ky Ha is a sheltered multipurpose port serving the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone. Handles agriculture, forestry and mineral goods as well as machinery and equipment.

As a developing bulk cargo port, Acu handles the export of ores, steel products and oil. The port consists of a 2.9 km. causeway with breakwatered port that can accommodate up to 10 vessels at a time. When completed, the port will be a major regional hub port.

Jiangdu is a modern port handling bulk, gas and breakbulk cargoes, with a modern shipyard which is part of the China Shipping Industry (CIC) group covering 4,200 acres (approx. 17,000,000 sq.m.). It handles both ship repair and the building of container ships, product tankers, bulk carriers, chemical tankers, floating structures and offshore oil drilling platforms.

Blowing Point is a shallow harbour handling passenger and leisure craft. A bulk petroleum facility is located at Corito Bay. Road Bay is the commercial port of Anguilla.

Ulsan main port handles general cargoes, containers, automobiles, chemical and oil products.

A natural harbour, Izmir port is divided into several sections: outer harbour, middle harbour, inner harbour, and an explosives anchorage. The inner harbour has two primary port facilities: Old Port, which is sheltered by a breakwater, and Alsancak.

Port handles dry and liquid bulk, general cargo, containers and Ro-Ro traffic.

Al-Khair terminal is operated by Seaports Corporation, Sudan and handles petroleum and LPG.
