The Port Authority (The Port Authority of NY & NJ (PANYNJ)) oversees the operation of Port Jersey Marine Terminal, Brooklyn Piers, Red Hook Container Terminal, New York Container Terminal and Port Newark/Elizabeth Marine Terminal. Private operators oversee the operation of other facilities throughout the port district.
