Major amendments to Vancouver, Canada, available
Port Metro Vancouver is Canada's largest and most diversified port, located on Canada's Pacific coast just north of the border with the USA.
It is a safe, year-round, all-weather, naturally deep harbour that requires no dredging. Well-situated the port is North America's gateway to the world's most dynamic economies, offering post-Panamax capacity, deep-draft berths and connections to extensive dock rail facilities.
Bulk cargoes account for 70% of the port's throughput; coal, sulphur, potash grain, woodchips and petro-chemicals are typical commodities. Breakbulk forest products and steel account for 10% of total cargo volume, and containers 20% of the total throughput.
