OVERVIEW:  Large, modern port located on the coincidence of the Tropical and Summer load line zones. Santos handles a variety of cargoes and is regarded as the busiest container port in South America
LOCATION:  In the State of Sao Paulo, 30 km. south of the city of Sao Paulo and 180 n.m. WSW of Rio de Janeiro. The port installations are spread over an estuary bounded by the islands of Sao Vicente and Santo Amaro. Details cover facilities in Santos, Guaruja, Ilha Barnabe and Cubatao.
