OVERVIEW:
Open roadstead port protected by breakwaters, handles bulk grain, and containerised
and breakbulk cargoes. Container terminal is a major feeder to the immediate region
and has undergone major expansion.
Port handles approx. 5,000,000 tonnes a year.
STS Operations:
Authorised by the Harbour Master to be performed at designated (three) anchorages.
LOCATION:
At the entrance to Baia de Todos os Santos (All Saints Bay) in Bahia State in the
NE region of Brazil.
