OVERVIEW:
Multipurpose port. The total port area of Port Said is 3 sq.km. (1.7 sq.km. water
area and 1.3 sq.km. land area). Port Said undergoing significant upgrades. Ship repair
facilities available in Port Fouad.
LOCATION:
At the north end of the Suez Canal in the NE of the country. Port Fouad lies on the
opposite side of the old canal channel from Port Said.
