OVERVIEW:
A sheltered port comprising two areas; Jaigarh Port and Angre Port. Jaigarh handles
coal, ore, liquefied gas and molasses. Angre Port handles containers, dry bulk, bulk
liquids, cruise passengers, Ro-Ro and breakbulk cargo. The Chowgule Lavgan Shipyard
is located near Angre Port.
LOCATION:
Jaigarh lies on the southern shore of Dhamankhol Bay in Maharashtra State, 20 n.m.
NNW of Ratnagiri and 110 n.m. south of Mumbai. Angre port is 2.0 n.m. SE of Jaigarh.
