OVERVIEW:  The port of Honolulu is the principal container point of entry of the Hawaiian Islands. The port is under the jurisdiction of the State of Hawaii, Department of Transportation, Harbors Division. Honolulu port also handles dry and liquid bulk, breakbulk cargo and passenger and fishing vessels. A foreign trade zone has been established at the Fort Armstrong Terminal.
Pearl Harbor is located to the NW of Honolulu and is a major base of the United States Navy. The only regular commercial activity comprises the delivery of fuel by commercial tankers.
