A multipurpose port protected by a natural headland and a 1,900 m. long man-made breakwater
Exports include carnauba wax, cashew nuts, cashew oil, cement (clinker), domestic
appliances, fresh fruit, limestone, leather, machinery and textiles. Imports include
ceramic tiles, corn, machinery, petcoke, petroleum products, synthetic fibres and
wheat.
