OVERVIEW:
A large, multipurpose port comprising the main areas of Busan, Busan New Port, Dadaepo
and Gamcheon. Cargoes handled include dry and liquid bulk, containers, passengers,
forest products, fish, breakbulk and Ro-Ro. The port is currently undertaking extensive
expansion projects, mainly to increase container handling capacity.
LOCATION:
In the SE of the country, 60 km. SW of Ulsan and 330 km. SSE of Seoul. Dadaepo and
Gamcheon port areas are located approx. 10 km. SW of Busan, the major port area of
Busan New Port is located 25 km. west of Busan.
