Worldwide Piracy

Shipping Guides has been working with Piracy Reporting Centre, Kuala Lumpur (PRC) to update Piracy information in our products for the following countries:

Bangladesh, Republic of Comoros, Ecuador, Ghana, Indonesia, Kenya, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mayotte, Nigeria, Oman, Seychelles, Singapore, Somalia, Tanzania, Venezuela and Yemen.

Included in the latest updates are the local authorities responsible for handling counter piracy in their country. Ship’s personnel/operators, that have experienced piracy acts that are beyond the areas covered or in ports that do not currently carry such reports, please email: [email protected]

PRC Malaysia broadcasts SITREP reports to vessels at 0000 GMT via Inmarsat C (Satellite) EGC Safety Net. However, vessels within some parts of the world which are not considered at risk from piracy, will not receive these messages.
