OVERVIEW:
A major regional port comprising the main areas of Vostochny and Kozmino. Vostochny
is a major hub for the export of coal and grain, other cargoes handled include containers,
breakbulk, forest products, clinker, ore, coke, fertiliser, petroleum products and
chemicals. Kozmino handles exports of crude oil, delivered by the East Siberia-Pacific
Ocean (ESPO) pipeline. The port remains open throughout the year; however, drifting
ice may be encountered in the approaches during the winter.
