OVERVIEW:
Port comprises two port areas, the New and Old. The Old Port handles most types of
cargo including breakbulk, bulk, containers, liquid bulk and Ro-Ro. The New Port
a deep water port, is in the middle of construction and handles bulk grains, containers
and liquid bulk. On completion the New Port will also have a multipurpose terminal
and be one of Mexico's main hub ports.
LOCATION:
On the SW shore of the Gulf of Mexico in Veracruz State, 320 km. east of Mexico City.
