OVERVIEW:
The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority is the federal agency responsible for the
stewardship of the lands and waters that make up the Port of Vancouver, Canada’s
largest port. It is a safe, year-round, all-weather port.
Vancouver is the third largest port in North America in terms of total
tonnage moved in and out of the port. The port comprises 29 major terminals, including
deep-sea terminals providing Super post-Panamax capacity and extensive on-dock rail
facilities with virtually no draft restrictions, three Class 1 railroads and a full
range of facilities and services to the international shipping community.
The port is able to handle the most diversified range of cargo in North
