OVERVIEW:
A modern and sheltered multipurpose port comprising three main areas; Tanger Med 1,
Tanger Med 2 and Tanger Med Passenger Port. Tanger Med 1 handles containers, dry bulk,
petroleum products, LPG, Ro-Ro, project and breakbulk cargo, Tanger Med 2 handles
containers and Tanger Med Passenger Port handles Ro-Ro passenger ferries. There is
also a free trade zone within the port.
LOCATION:
On the southern shore of the Gibraltar Strait, 16 n.m. NE of Tangier. Tanger Med 1 is
to the NE of the passenger port and Tanger Med 2 is to the SW.
