OVERVIEW:
Taicang port has two container handling zones, a dry bulk cargo section and a petrochemical
area. Throughput capacity is 110 million tons and 4.35 million TEU. The port is part
of the Suzhou port district.
Taicang includes Taicang International Container Terminal (TICT), Taicang Zhenghe
Container Port (TZCP), Wangfang International Port (WIP), Meijin Port, Jiangsu Yangtze
Petrochemical Terminal (JYPC), Taicang Powershell Petrochemical Terminal (TPPT), Taicang
Wugang Iron Ore Port (TCWG) and Mobil Terminal.
LOCATION:
On the south bank of the lower reaches of Changjiang (Yangtze River), and connected
with Shanghai City. Taicang Port is the first fresh water port in Yangtze River, which
is approx. 60 n.m. from Changjiangkou (CJK) Anchorage and about 6 n.m. from Baoshan.
