OVERVIEW:
St Peter Port is the capital of Guernsey as well as the main port. The port handles
mostly Ro-Ro passenger ferries, fishing vessels and leisure craft but also shipments
of containers and breakbulk cargo.
Additionally, dry bulk and liquid bulk cargoes are handled at St Sampson, 2 n.m. to
the NNE. Berths at St Sampson are NAABSA (Not Always Afloat But Safely Aground) type.
LOCATION:
On the east coast of the island. St Sampson is situated approx. 2 n.m. north of St
Peter Port.
