OVERVIEW:  A naturally sheltered harbour, ice-free throughout the year, serving eastern Newfoundland St. John’s is a major centre for offshore support and one of the largest fishing ports in the region. The port also handles cruise passengers, containers, dry and liquid bulk, Ro-Ro and breakbulk cargo.
LOCATION:  On the eastern side of the Avalon Peninsula in eastern Newfoundland, 100 km. ENE of Placentia and 130 km. SSE of Bonavista.
