OVERVIEW:
Comprises one port with Quequen on the NE bank and Necochea on the SW bank of the
river. Berths No. 0–6 are in Quequen and berths No. 7–12 in Necochea. Major regional
exporter of grain and grain by-products. Also handles chemicals, fertiliser, petroleum
products and fishing boats.
LOCATION:
On the Atlantic coast, 238 n.m. (440 km.) south of Buenos Aires and 65 n.m. (120 km.)
SW of Mar del Plata.
