OVERVIEW:
A private deep-water port, just north of Puerto Nuevo. Drummond Ltd Colombia transports
thermal coal 120 miles by railcar from La Loma and El Descanso mines directly to Puerto
Drummond. Port has the capability to load all sizes of vessels from handy size up
to the largest Capesize bulkers.
LOCATION:
In Magdelena state on the Caribbean coast 10.8 n.m. south of Santa Marta and 86.5 n.m.
