OVERVIEW:
Noumea consists of Petite Rade, which fronts the town of Noumea and comprises the
old harbour facilities, and Grande Rade, including Baie des Dames and Baie de Numbo
which has the newer berthing complexes. The two harbours are separated by Ile Nou,
and are joined by a small craft channel (Canal de Nouville) near their inner ends.
LOCATION:
On the SW coast of New Caledonia. Baie des Dames and Baie de Numbo lie within 2 n.m.
NW of Noumea on the north side of the main harbour (Grande Rade).
