OVERVIEW:  The capital's second seaport, Mussafah serves Abu Dhabi's western industrial area Administered by Abu Dhabi Ports and marine operations by its subsidiary SAFEEN.
Cargoes handled breakbulk, bulk, containers, project and Ro-Ro.
It also contains facilities supporting the offshore oil industry and has significant rig and shipbuilding facilities.
Under development are offshore transshipment facilities for handling bulk ores.
LOCATION:  Approx. 16 km. SE of central Abu Dhabi city.

PORT LIMITS:  The outer port limits are shown on navigational charts. The inner limits follow and include the main channel into the Mussafah Industrial Area, including all waters up to the line of Highest Astronomical Tide along the waterfront. The old channel into Mussafah from the Musnovah Breakwater is now closed to commercial traffic.
