OVERVIEW:  Regional hub port and one of west Africa's major ports. Cargoes are handled in either the Lagos Port Complex or the Tin Can Island Port Complex. Most types of cargo are handled, with several international operators taking over concessions within the port areas. The standard of terminals varies, ranging from facilities operating with modern technology to those operating with very basic equipment and infrastructure.
