OVERVIEW:
The port is a hub of petrochemical development in China, known as the Shanghai Chemical
Industrial Park (SCIP). It comprises a large modern ethylene production facility owned
by Sinopec and BP Amoco, and 12 other chemical facilities with operators including
BASF, Bayer, Lucite, Sinopec/Exxonmobil and Mitsui. Vopak has a large chemical tank
farm and jetty.

On the northern shore of Hangzhou Bay, approx. 70 n.m. ENE of Hangzhou city and 50 n.m.
south of Shanghai.
Caojing Terminal:
Adjacent and 1.0 n.m. east of SCIP in position 30° 45.90′ N, 121° 27.42′ E
SCIP:
North coast of Hangzhou Bay, 10.1 n.m. NE of Jinshan and 31.1 n.m. W×N of Yang Shan
