OVERVIEW:
Gresik port handles breakbulk, bulk, chemicals, gas, products and vegetable oil. Along
with JIPPE and Surabaya Gresik is being developed into the main feeder and export
port area for SE Java.
JIIPE port area north of Gresik is a Gresik Industrial Special Economic Zone undergoing
major development to become a regional hub port. The port will have dedicated container,
bulk liquid, gas terminals and multipurpose jetty. The PT Freeport Indonesia and multipurpose
T-head jetty is now operational.

On the western shore of the Madura Strait, 6 n.m. NW of Surabaya.
