MDGIU
OVERVIEW:
Moldova's main port handling international traffic, being a Free Economic Zone. Regional
logistics hub due to location with close proximity to Romania and the Ukraine. Operational
terminals include, one handling petroleum products, one handling bulk grain, one handling
containers and breakbulk, one handling veg. oil and one passengers. There are further
terminals under construction. The passenger terminal is operated by a government organisation
Rail sidings throughout the port's waterfront.

LOCATION:
On the river Danube, left bank at Km. 133.80, at the intersection of the Danube and
Prut Rivers, 72.2 n.m. from the sea. Adjacent to the border with Romania and the Ukraine.
