OVERVIEW:  Cristobal is a district of the city of Colon. Port comprises a number of berths handling containerised, dry bulk and liquid cargoes. A new LNG reception facility opened in 2018. The port is under the jurisdiction of the Panama Canal Authority and is managed and operated by Hutchison Ports PPC, with concessions to several other companies. Access to and from the port is via waters under the jurisdiction of the Panama Canal Authority.
LOCATION:  On the west side of Isla Manzanillo. Cristobal is on the eastern shore of Bahia Limon at the Atlantic entrance to the Panama Canal.
