Port lies within a natural harbour and handles fruit, iron ore, copper concentrate,
petroleum products and breakbulk cargo. An iron ore loading terminal is located to
the north of Caldera at Punta Totoralillo.

In the Bahia de Caldera, approx. 700 km. north of Santiago. Punta Totoralillo is located
25 km. to the north of Caldera.
