DEBRE

OVERVIEW:  A river port comprising facilities on both banks and within a non-tidal basin, accessed via the Oslebshausen Lock. Cargoes include forest products, food and beverages, tobacco textiles, furniture, metals, machinery, vehicles, ores, minerals, chemicals, petroleum products and crude oil. Dry cargo is handled in bulk, breakbulk, Ro-Ro or containerised form. In addition to seagoing vessels, Bremen also handles river craft and provides a connection with Europe’s inland waterway network.
The port of Bremen is a Core port in the North Sea-Baltic and Scandinavian-Mediterranean Corridors in the European Union's Trans-European Transport Network.
LOCATION:  Facilities are located on both banks of the River Weser, 55 km. SSE of Bremerhaven and 95 km. SW of Hamburg.
