OVERVIEW:
The port handles most types of cargo including breakbulk, Ro-Ro, passengers, offshore
containers and bulk liquids. There are also facilities for handling military, research,
leisure and fishing vessels. The port is naturally sheltered by the islands of Askoy,
Holsnoy and Sotra.

At the head of Byfjorden in western Norway, 300 km. WNW of Oslo.
