OVERVIEW:
The only port in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan; comprises Middle Port, Southern
(Industrial) Port and Aqaba New Port. Middle Port handles cement, containers, livestock
rice, Ro-Ro, military and passenger vessels. Southern (Industrial) Port handles bulk,
chemicals, crude, products, fertiliser, liquefied gas, livestock, potash, salt, sulphur
and timber. Aqaba New Port replaced the original Main Port and handles grain and other
dry bulk cargo.
Port services, such as VTS, pilotage, tugs, garbage collection and fresh water supply
are provided by Aqaba Port Marine Services Company.

At the head of the Gulf of Aqaba in SW Jordan, 285 km. SSW of Amman.
